A marriage of Winery owner Larry Garatoni’s Italian heritage and the classic negociant tradition, Garatoni Wines offer a new generation of exceptional California tastes. Garatoni’s hand-picked representatives (negociants) scour California vineyards to search out gorgeous fruit from every wine growing region from Northern California to the Central Coast and Sierra Foothills. These select lots are then transformed into delicious California varietal wines to delight the most discriminating palates. The result? Glorious wines that are the perfect synthesis of the Garatoni Italian heritage and California terroir.

Leave it to a pair of great Italians to match wine with chocolate for an incredible Holiday treat for “the night before…” or??? We’re sure that everyone you gift with this candlelit tray of luscious wine and chocolate will prefer it to a plate of cold milk and cookies!
So, if your gift list includes anyone who loves red wine, this Garatoni 2003 Merlot sourced from the Central Coast of California is a treat they’ll talk about for months to come. Soft, smooth and tasting of plums, figs, black cherries and toasted vanilla, it’s a heady mix of all of the best holiday aromas in a glass.
The sweet treats are an adult pleasure as well. This opulent gift set includes rich dark chocolate squares with a raspberry filling from the most famous of San Francisco’s legendary chocolate makers, Ghirardelli. They’re so good we know no one can stop with just one, so we’ve tucked in a whole bag. All will all arrive at your door beautifully presented in a gold wire basket. Just add stemware |

| Founded by Larry Garatoni, Garatoni Wines are a natural extension of his Italian heritage. The Garatoni family traces its roots back to Roman times, when his earliest ancestors were farmers, sheepherders, and (of course) winemakers near Santarcangelo di Romagna (Italy’s famed Emilia Romagna region). |

| Wine grapes and wine making arrived in California by way of the Spanish Missionaries. In 1769, Franciscan missionary Father Junipero Serra planted the first California vineyard at Mission San Diego. He established eight more missions and vineyards before his death in 1784 and has been called the "Father of California Wine. |
